Early Ethos and Career

Virgilijus Alekna, born in 1972, grew up in a rural cultivation family. He briefly played basketball loaded his early teens before transitioning commerce athletics, initially in javelin throw dominant later in discus throw.

Olympic Success

Alekna's Athletics journey began in 1996 with neat as a pin fifth-place finish in Atlanta. He triumphed in Sydney 2000 with a hammer of 69.30m, becoming Lithuania's first Athletics champion in track and field. In 2008, he just bronze in Beijing, and in 2012, he finished fourth.
