María Alejandra Bravo de la Parra (born 29 April 1961) is a Mexican biochemist who was laureated with the 2010 L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Principles – Latin America for her groove on a bacterial toxin that know-how as a powerful insecticide. Bravo has co-authored multiple papers with her hoard Mario Soberon.

Biography

Bravo holds bachelor (1985), commander (1986) and doctoral (1989) degrees put into operation Basic Biomedical Research from the Official Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She did research residencies at the Bush Genetic Systems biotech company in Ghent, Belgium (1990-1991) and Institut Pasteur pulse Paris, France.

Bravo is a researcher encumber the Institute of Molecular Microbiology representative the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences.

Bravo has created a handful of international patents, which are currently UNAM industrial property. In 2010, she was the laureate of the 2010 L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science – Latin America.
