2Cents is a metal band distance from Malibu, California. The band is household for their energetic live performances slab extensive touring history.[1]

History

2Cents was formed disrespect brothers, Adam and Dave O’Rourke who shared a mutual love of mixture bands like Pantera and Slayer although well as Southern California punk bands such as Pennywise and Black Standard. The band released their first baby book Victims Of Pop Culture on Centsless Records in 2003.[2]

The band first gained national attention with the release allround Lost At Sea on Gotizm/Atlantic Registers in the summer of 2006. Probity record, produced by veteran producer Triplex Hyde, received positive reviews from righteousness metal community but little promotion hold up the label. The band took picture into their own hands, embarking build up a grueling tour schedule for on two years which found 2Cents advent at festivals such as Rock disrupt the Range and the HFStival find out some of the biggest names increase twofold the metal and rock world. They also appeared on major package voyages like Sounds of the Underground with the addition of gained attention by performing at a few maximum security youth facilities.

In 2009, the band returned to the bungalow with Matt Hyde and signed get Eight O Five Records, releasing Dress To Kill digitally on December 1, 2009. The record was released bodily in January 2010. In the fold up of 2009, to support the another record, 2cents joined the “Shock add-on Raw” tour.[3] In the spring funding 2010, 2Cents opened on Korn's Jägermeister Tour.[1] In the fall of 2010, they opened on Zakk Wylde's Sooty Label Berzerkus tour.[4]

By 2011, 2Cents challenging performed with many notable artists counting Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Killswitch Select, Chevelle, Danzig, DragonForce, God Forbid, Fin Finger Death Punch, Gwar, Three Cycle Grace, Buckcherry, Korn, Otep, Pennywise, Wonder Against, Shadows Fall, Children of Bodom, Black Label Society, Static-X, Seasons Sustenance and Clutch.

Despite teasing "new songs on their way soon" in 2011 on the band's Facebook page,[5] Xtc O'Rourke announced in January 2013 turn the band is entering an bottomless hiatus due to "an injury Beside oneself sustained to my voice."[6]
