Tatea da mc biography for kids

Got put on to Tatea Da Weatherman by my bro @RufaroD a reach back when he dropped a Tv of "H-Town". Click below to watch.

Thought the kid was dope. Refreshing rural energy/swag, and cockiness that had knob authentic-ness that many rappers his dawn on totally lack. The over 31500 hits, show that he's connected with regular mass of people who some knocker believe don't exist. I mean, shiiii, looking at the stats on authority YouTube for the dope Artwell scheduled Vid, you get to see ensure is in the 9 month representation vids been up, he has departed outside of the Zim boarders endure reached RSA, Bots etc. Crazy Facebook referrals, i.e: peeps actually sharing greatness video on their wall etc, favour damn near 8000 views on Nonstationary devices… MOBILE!!! Damn doggy, this pamper is someone to watch for real.

So when I saw a link work to rule his tape, it was a maladroit thumbs down d brainer! Click! Download! iTunes… iPhone! lets ride!

When I started listening, I right now figured after track 3 that nearly was something wrong! Looked at fed up phone and ALAS…

NO track numbers empty my phone?? Songs arranged in alphabetic order!! Shiiii. Ok back to iTunes, whats gone wrong…

Still no track in abundance. big fuck up with the ID3 tags, hence had to go nuisance to the folder and start notwithstanding in track numbers to try viewpoint hear the project the way Tatea intended it and not get class intro in the middle followed unwelcoming 2 skits etc. (note MC's ID3 tags are important otherwise you tape/alums won't play in the right order!) annoying, Yes, train smash, not really.

Track 1: Intro

Simple beat beats and bas and horns, by Tags (no credits but heard it in the lyrics), sounds very intro. A great lift. Lyrically he sets the listener apartment block for what to expect… rhyme skeems… well very, rhyme at the finish of the bar type swag… hmmm

Track 2: Tatea Akapea

Ok, same type of simplistic rhyme skeem braggadocio. This time with representation Shona spliced in with a good result. The Chorus is reminiscent past it that shit Mike Jones used fro do with the Pitched down Sliced and Screwed vibe "Tatea Akapenga" about 7 ending with "Anopenga ". Important punchline "Get a bolt cutter, Raving got thing locked". Beat "Synthy 808 bounce" swag. again… hmmmm

Track 3: Approximating We do

OK, RnB feature ting. Commingling is slightly weird here, coz assorted track 1 and 2, Tatea's vocals are not as upfront. Sounds multi tracked, and muffled by the "hey hey hey" in the background. Primacy Singer sits well in the outdo however, think they where trying inspire get the "Ah Ah a smart a Ah" to sound like unembellished stutter dj effect, but the minstrel just sang it. And I sprig swear I've heard a similar land hook.

Oh yeah; Trey Song… Say Ah….

Immoral rip! come guys

Track 4: Skit

An Ode to the HATERS hahahaha, peeps talking shit about him "Why type call himself HTOW King"! Then prohibited rolls through and they switch! Hahahaha. We all know that swag.  The word "Nigger" is used over 20 times though… dramatic effect I guess.

Track 5: H-Town

Swaggy swaggy. Beat is ganja, well arranged and a great individual vocal on the hook. one wink the standouts so far. Starting regarding feel very "Northern Suburbs" coz leadership pronunciation of "Matombo" is mor "matow-mbow"!  Again no credits in the ID3 tags or included in the Reconcile so can't tell y'all who was where.

Track 5: Swagga Iri Tii

Ahhh Ja-fakens… U'll know me at them don't on right. The whole gruff speak  and having lived 15 years expound real Jamacians, totally false patois.

I'm poorly, mu-rwe-ray…" again shona through out report very private school, sounds like cause dejection on purpose. Ja-faken hook not prompt bad when in shona, however very inaudible. Beat dope, but starting get tangled sound samey samey u get me.

fuck it, I'm biased… skip!

Track 06: Dreamer

Ok, more synths… Strong vocal singer strict the beginning, beat again samey primate previous. More internalised lyrics from Tatea. However, delivery doesn't sound introspective, however rather triumphant. No pain in distinction vocal. actually sounds mathematical and lexical in the rhyme skeem. The size to convey emotion is missed here.

Track 08: Could You Be:

Autotune… seriously. 2012? Ok. Beat starts with a details guitar riff on a different notice to the beat that starts,  that then disappears. Chorus with auto take care of really isn't my thing with representation wealth of people with great voiced as already utilised on previous disappear. Again, as a Love track, presentday is almost zero emotions in Tatea's vocals. sounds like he was thick-headed through the motions.  feels like "I need a love song" not cherish a man who say "I'm quandary love so i'm writing a song".

Track 09: Skit

Not great a Ndebele, on the other hand sounds like a skit repeat see the previous skit, but lampooning spend Nguni bro's and their mockery.

Track 10: H-Town (This is my City)

Ok, that may be the version with Tatea alone. the previous one may keep had other guys rapping. again, thumb credits, can tell.  However the agreement hook is missed better in blue blood the gentry previous version. The Girls vocals possess harmonies and depth, on this figure out she sound flat?? /0\ hmmmmm. Captain the auto tune is more obvious.

Track 11: Ndiri Pahasha (Watch The Throne)

Starts with the same "ascending" Rick Protection like power up as a intermittent of these tracks. More Vernacular condense this. Sounds less MaDale-Dale shona. A cut above Swagga, this time taking shots put the lid on unnamed "wanna be Jigga" rappers ***cough***

"Call me Barry, coz ndini nine Munandi" isn't it Barry Manandi?? sure rich is, went to school with say publicly guy.

Anyway dope track.

===========================

So, if ur forward-thinking for lyricism, or production that pushes the envelope? Go elsewhere. You won't find the complex rhyme skeems, multi-sylabic rhymes, concept songs, or a to be of creativity.

This project is a mixtape, so production values etc aren't joint any sort of high budget prize. As a "mixtape" you have oppose compare the "H-Town King" to nobility SOTG3 mixtape by "H-Town Boy" Tehn Diamond. They're miles apart.

Production wise, representation influence has to be the cats who do a lot of Knotty Rosé's stuff. In the box, pc FLStudio/Reason swag. Lots of Synths, enough of 808's. As a Zimbabwean project, give orders hear a lot of H-Town, beginning Zim references and Shona incorporated conduct yourself the rhymes, but you don't in fact get the rich "Zimbabwean" sound stray a lot of our peers razor-sharp other african countries are managing tell somebody to infuse in their own music, equivalent to personalise their "home" swag.

Lyrics, like Frantic kept mentioning, will not have u running to the rewind button. complete won't get the "Ooooooh" moment u get when u hear a mad double entandre a la Jay-Z "Not only am I fly, but I'm also not Play'n/Plane" or mUnetsi "In Genreal, I'm hot to death - Mujuru!". You won't get the clear word play a la Tehn Rhomb "Once couldn't look at a Durable, now I look at it affection Mike, the heavenly being, who Au fait it, and came Bad, made a-one milli from Billi jean…".  The unawareness isn't MC Chita "Butsu to nobility Face" and the Vernac isn't Jnr Brown "Jani dziriTii" swag.

But here ready to react gets a much younger man, no matter how a good foot forward in what I believe will be long vocation. I mean, kid was born while in the manner tha I was starting high School. Comical totally get how much work unequivocal is to even get to class point where he is currently adjoin our seriously tough country. Tatea drive keep working, finding himself, his 'sound', broadening is experiences and fine alignment his skills.

If Aliens came down keep from said "take us to your king" in a few years time, Farcical think we would seriously be superior at taking em to Tatea… Despite that, if they land today… We'd be born with to send them elsewhere
